For Labor day weekend, we decided to explore a bit of southern CA. We headed north in search of a lake. 
Windmills are all over the hill tops 25 miles north of us.

Windy roads through the hills.
More golden hills.
Golden hills on the drive north.
Rural CA
We Found Water!!! It only took about 80 miles.
Lots of boulders, and our van parked up by the road (hidden by trees).
The cove we found to play around in.
Where are your shoes?
The rows of white in the sand are small sea shells from where the water has receeded.
Bouldering! All 3 boys were climber monkeys today!
