Here are pictures of us playing in the sand at the ocean off Mustang Island in Corpus Christi. Luke and I loved it. It was a little cool, but we still had lots of fun in the ocean and playing with the sand. We'd like to go back and camp overnight. Tips for the beach: Bring sunscreen, lawn chairs and extra bags for wet/sandy stuff. Also, expect to get your vehicle and everything you brought covered in sand and salt.
